Authors Guidelines

 

Manuscript Preparation

    1. Manuscripts submitted for the magazine are expected to be free from language/grammatical errors
    2. Manuscripts must be written and formatted strictly by following the author's guidelines
    3. The title of the manuscript should be clear and concise
    4. Authors must ensure the accuracy of citations, quotations, diagrams, tables, and maps.
    5. Articles in English or Hindi, must be submitted in Microsoft Word with a brief bio note.
    6. We consider previously published work (without copyright issues) but would prefer fresh and original work.
    7. Simultaneous submissions are welcomed but will be considered in the subsequent issues
    8. The pictures/ photographs/ figures/ diagrams submitted with the manuscript are the accountability of the author.  Authors must ensure that any pictures used in the manuscript do not break copyright law.
    9. The manuscript must be prepared according to the following guidelines: 
    • The length of articles should not be more than 3000 words but if notes and references are used the length should not exceed 3500 words
    • Citations, if any, should be in endnotes and not in the text. APA/ MLA style of referencing may be followed for referring the work (if required) 
    • Font should be 12-Point New Times Roman, whether in normal, bold, or italic, including endnotes and references, wherever required.  

Acceptable File Types

    • Kindly submit texts in MS Word
    • PDF files will not be acceptable
    • Good quality/high-resolution images in .jpg or .tif format must be provided separately with the manuscript
    • Since it will be a coloured e-magazine, authors are requested to separately provide pics that suitably complement the text of their manuscripts and meet the resolution requirements of Shimla Eco Vibes.
    • Adherence to the author’s guidelines will provide readers with visually appealing manuscripts

Before you submit, kindly ensure that the proper guidelines are followed. Manuscripts lacking the following criteria will be rejected:

    • The manuscripts not complying with the editorial requirements
    • Manuscripts out of the magazine’s aims and scope
    • Lack of originality
    • Not complying with the ethical standards  
    • Other reasons for rejection could be plagiarism/ data manipulation/data duplication
